Eric Filgueiras, a first-generation American from Cocoa, Florida, discovered his passion for racing at an early age after attending an IndyCar race at Homestead-Miami Speedway with his father, an experience that ignited a lifelong pursuit of motorsport.

Since then, Eric has built a diverse and accomplished career, competing across multiple disciplines including open-wheel, prototype, NASCAR, and sports car racing. Now focused on sports car competition, he continues to establish himself as a standout talent, earning multiple championships and demonstrating both versatility and consistency at the highest levels of the sport. Among his notable achievements are the 2016 USF2000 National Class Championship, the 2022 SRO Pirelli GT4 America Championship, the 2023 SRO Fanatec GT World Challenge America Pro Championship, and the 2024 SRO GT4 America Silver Championship.

For the 2025 season, Filgueiras competed in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with Lone Star Racing in the No. 80 Mercedes-AMG GT3 at the Rolex 24 at Daytona and Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, as well as in the No. 78 Forte Racing Lamborghini Huracán GT3 at the Indy Battle on the Bricks 8 Hour and Motul Petit Le Mans. In addition, he piloted in the McLaren Trophy with Riley Motorsports, driving the No. 17 McLaren Artura Trophy EVO.

This season, Filgueiras is competing in GT4 America alongside Tom Kopczynski in the No. 52 Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport with Kellymoss.

Outside of competition, Eric shares his expertise by coaching race car drivers across North America, helping others pursue their passion for motorsport.
